Rich Wilson
has been a paid professional entertainer since the age of 15.
He began getting fees to sing at community events while still
attending high school. As time went on, the demand for his
performances gave him the opportunity to share the stages with
some very major acts from around the country. His unique ability
to stand before any sized audience and be completely relaxed
gave the impression of being a seasoned veteran of the spotlight
and that helped to open even more doors. He has performed from
the stages of Las Vegas to Atlantic City and just about
everything in between! Rich now lives in the Southern Tier of
the state of New York with his wife, Amy and their children and
Rich continues to bring his special form of entertainment
to audiences everywhere.
Rich probably best known for his remarkable ability to sing
Elvis Presley songs and get people on their feet with applause.
This has always been a strong part of his performances but not
the only thing he does. His special ability to sing a wide
variety of styles of music allows him to adapt to almost any
situation he may come across. Standards like those sung by
Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin and more are
also the songs that Rich has mastered over the years.
He tends to almost sound like each artist that originally did
the songs. Country music has been a major and fun area for Rich
to sink his teeth into because he says his father raised him on
the classic country music of artists like Eddy Arnold and Hank
Williams so it is only natural that Rich can throw himself into
a cowboy hat and take us back to the golden days of the Grand ol'
Opry. Gospel music is also an area that Rich has done very well
at. As a matter of fact, his gospel recordings are among his
best selling. It is the music of the 50's and the 60's that Rich
does the most and he does them very well. No matter what
performance to take in by Rich Wilson you are almost certain to
experience songs originally recorded by artists like Fats
Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Pat Boone, The Platters
and many, Many More!
Recently, Rich found himself drawn to another form of
entertainment and just as he has done so many times before, he
has worked at it until he is naturally comfortable with it on
stage. Rich is now a certified Stage Hypnotist. This is one of
the most popular forms of entertainment today. It is enjoyable
for both the audience and the volunteers and because it involves
members right out of the audience it is very interactive. Due to
the popularity of such things as video games and Karaoke, people
are almost conditioned today to be "involved" in almost
everything they see. Hypnosis can be a very personal and private
thing but when it comes to Comedy Stage Hypnosis...everyone is
involved and every one shares in the fun!
