  1. Hello @NeilNorwich, Yes the signals can be removed from the track monitor ! You just need to go in HUD settings in RWE 2 menu and disable the "Show Signals" setting.
  2. Hello, @Dirtalot, I have received the streamdeck a few weeks ago but had no time to test it yet as I have changed my work computer and had to migrate and reinstall everything. It is almost ready now and I will take a look at this very soon. Can you send me a private message about this, I may have some questions to ask to see where the problem could be coming from. Thank you.
  3. Hello, Yes RWE 2 need to cook the data at every launch. To be more precise, when you launch it for the first time, RWE 2 will scan all your Train Simulator data and store it in some "database" files, this process can be quite long depending on your installed content. After this initial "full data cooking" is done RWE 2 will need to load this data from the database files for each launch of RWE 2, this is called the "quick cooking" it is faster but can take some minutes if your content is huge. There is no way to avoid this process unfortunately but i'm working on some solution to make this process the shortest possible If you just start the game from steam without launching RWE 2, you will keep the enhanced visual effects but all gameplay features of RWE 2 (sounds, HUD...) will not work.
  4. Hello @pez4me2, I'll try to help ! 1- With RWE 2 you need to launch any external software that work with Train Simulator in "Administrator Mode" (right click on your software shortcut and select launch in admin mode). This way raildriver should work fine with RWE 2. 2- Can you show a screenshot of what you are talking about ? I'm not sure what you are talking about here. 3- Yes in order to get the RWE 2 functionnalities to work (HUD, enhanced sounds...) you need to launch scenarios/quick drives with RWE 2. 4- Once enhanced shaders are installed by RWE 2, they work even if you are playing the regular train simulator with RWE 2 enabled. You can disable shaders improvements in the settings menu of RWE 2 but due to the nature of Train Simulator engine, you can't disable RWE 2 new effects when Train Simulator is running, you need to do it when the game is not running. As a side note, I have changed my dev computer a few week ago and i'm now restoring everything on the new computer. RWE 2 updates will be resumed shortly
  5. I will investigate this soon. Lately I have been changing computer and I need to setup everything correctly. That's why there was no updates lately. Work will resume soon
  6. Hello, could you provide more infos about your computer ? What is your graphic card ? Maybe the latest vulkan version is not properly supported on your GPU ? Thank you
  8. Hello @majortom67, You need to lower the "Color Vibrance" shader setting in order to desaturate the image color a bit
CHANGELOG:
  10. Update 0.8.17.0 is now available This is a maintenance update that fixes some internal issues and add some optimizations. This update also improves the audio engine in order to prepare the future PIS systems improvements. The German PIS refactoring update is a bit delayed as i need to work on more internal systems to make it working properly. Thank you for your patience ! CHANGELOG:
  12. Update 0.8.16.0 is now available. This update is adding more fixes and stabilization improvements and implements some new systems in order to prepare the German PIS refactoring update which should be ready in December. See you soon for another update CHANGELOG:
  13. Hello @daniel.trenzen, Your suggestion has been implemented in the next update which will be released soon.
  14. Hello Alti, Sorry for the late answer, I missed your post. Yes RW Enhancer 2 can be used on the public beta branch of Train Simulator.
  15. The existing completion data can be of course accessed so scenarios that have been manually marked as done can be displayed as done. Will add this feature soon.
  16. Hello @daniel.trenzen, This can be done but keep in mind that I can only display the completion status for scenarios done with RWE 2. A scenario done in TS without RWE 2 will still be displayed as "not done". Is it ok for you ?
  19. If you find something that could help me to fix the issue you had the first time, please send me that by private message I can also recommend you to add an anti-virus exclusion rule for both RW Enhancer directory and TS directory (the whole directories and not just RWE2 and TS executables files). From time to time, especially when a new update of RWE 2 is available the various anti-virus softwares can cause some odd issues in the communication process between RWE 2 and TS. As a reminder, you can play TS with RWE 2 graphics enhancements without being required to launch RWE 2. Just like RWE 1/Pro (if you have at least performed the RWE 2 cooking process at least once). Of course if you want to have RWE 2 gameplay features (HUD, audio enhancements, radio, PIS...) RWE 2 need to be launched and active
  20. Hello Acidbottle, Could you tell me more about the crash ? Is there any message or something else that could help me to identify the issue ? You can revert back to original RWE without any issue yes.
  21. Hello @Dirtalot, I need to aquire/borrow a streamdeck to check this, will contact you by PM for more details once I have one for testing this.
CHANGELOG:
  23. Update 0.8.15.0 is now available ! This update is adding more fixes and stabilization improvements to RW Enhancer 2. A lot of improvements and fixes has been done to the station names generation algorithm. Because of those improvements, the various PIS systems should have less struggle to pronounce some station names (especially for UK). More improvements and fixes for station names are coming in the future (for UK and other countries). If you would like to know more about how the station names generation algorithm works you can read this post: https://www.rwcentral.com/topic/2336-future-enhancements/#comment-27600 The next update should bring some realism improvements to the German PIS systems. Thank you for your continued support and see you soon ! CHANGELOG:
  24. Thank you for the feedback @Loufreisfreeway, just one remark, a lot of your screenshot are showing the quickdrive "stop names" and these are not used by the PIS system, the station names that are used by the various PIS systems can be viewed in the "Content Explorer" -> "Routes" subsection. Like on this screenshot: These are the proper station names that are used by the various PIS systems of RW Enhancer 2. I have made various improvements and fixes for the next update (that should be released tomorrow), especially for UK/US stations. More work will be done on this subject in future updates. The RWE 2 system that generate the station names is a bit complex, it need to "guess" the station name from the various platform marker names of the routes as there is no concept of proper station names in Train Simulator. For example if RWE 2 is detecting a "Liverpool St platform 1a" platform marker name. RWE 2 will try to process it by using various more or less complex algorithms and the "Liverpool Street" station name will be generated from it. Before the next update, the generated station name would have been "Liverpool st" but with the update it will be "Liverpool Street". Another example would be the "Exeter st Davids" station of the riviera line route. With the next update the generated station name will be "Exeter Saint Davids" so the station name will be pronounced right by the PIS systems ("Saint Davids" can be heard instead of "Street Davids"). The generation algorithm is now capable of correctly detecting (most of the time) if "Street" or "Saint" should be used. This is something I need to "fix" in the future. It's spoken by the PIS without the "London" because there is no "london" written in the route platform markers names. So I need to upgrade the station generation system to handle such case and add the "London" suffix when such case is encountered.
  25. One thing that could be done is a fake 2D fast flashing effect on the screen when in external view, the screen could flash in white very briefly with a fast smooth fadeout effect when there is a thunder strike (with simulated speed of sound so that you see the flash before hearing the thunder strike if the thunder source if far enough). Don't know what you think of this but it can add a nice cinematic effect... I may add this on my todolist Next things that will come soon is some improvements/fixes to the audio core engine, more realistic German PIS, adjustable volume setting for each audio effect layers and a new "station ambiance" audio effect for simulating various stations noises (passenger discussion, luggage's noises...).
