Not finding stations in quick drive

When driving on some quick drive routes the stations selected are not found when driving along the line and the distance counter on the systems panel jumps in value backwards and forwards as if hunting for the station, the station does not appear on the train HUD at bottom of the screen even when I drive through it and no voice announcements are made. anybody seen this?.
