  1. Yes, very good - before and after update:
  2. Just wondering if you have managed to look at this issue?
  3. Is there any way to overcome this without losing the excellent shaders you have ATM. Perhaps a method of lightening the image - I have turned the screen brightness up, but that can lose some of the RWE realism.
  4. I see the same - or similar, 'halo' effect with this latest update - it seems to only be on the far horizon and is not really a problem. Just thought I would update you as there do not seem to be any other comments since release of 0.76.0.0
  5. I see the same as Reef - just at the skyline and around pylons. I do now have excellent and smoother performance running all settings at max including FXAA + 3x3 SSAA. Thank you!
  6. I experimented with different weather/time situations with the X-Plane Vulkan version and did not find any sparkly halo effects. There was just a slightly noticable lightening at the juncture of the land/sea/sky. Pictures attached to clarify. Keep up the good work - I'm sure a solution will be found!
  7. Interesting point. When next on the PC I should setup a flight in murky weather on X Plane 11.55 Vulkan and see if I can emulate the effect.
  8. Again First without Vulkan, second with Vulkan: (The white buildings in the first pic are distant factories, not the 'halo' effect).
  9. Here are my comparisons, but I discovered that the 'halo' effect only seems to occur with rain added. First without Vulkan, second shot with Vulkan:
  10. I have also noticed this along the distant skyline and assumed it was a feature of the scenario I was using for testing. I will now check with Vulkan on and off to confirm when next on PC. in fact looking at Jareb's screenshot above I can see the identical white halo band effect along the skyline.
  11. Initial impression - I have Vulkan on XPlane 11 since that was introduced to the sim and have been most impressed with that. So - now smoother, good frame rates, much less tile load stutters. The only possible downside, which might be another change you have made, is that the shaders appear to have become more 'contrasty'? Train colours in low light times very dark with whites very bright. If you haven’t changed the shaders, I will look for an alternative on the website. I did previously find that steam locomotives were very dark. Apart from the - great work thanks! Look forward to maybe being able to run at a higher screen resolution than the monitor as I did previously? I was running 2880x1800 on my 1920 x 1200 Dell monitor.

  13. Hi. Have you had a chance to look at this yet by any chance? I am still much enjoying RWE2!

  15. The other side of the grass strip is where many of the UK's steam trains were brought for scrapping. But many were sold for preservation, thank goodness!!
  16. Signal problems again!
  17. I am using the default shader and graphic settings and the visuals on buildings and modern trains is exceptional - thank you! However I have recently been experimenting with steam locomotive such as the Black 5 and old pannier tank engines and I find that even on bright days it’s difficult to pick out any details. Is it possible to have a 'switch' setting and the ability to easily change the shader? I’m loath to change anything as what I have now is perfect for other than steam locomotives!
  18. Could I add another? In the UK 'Reading' should be pronounced as 'Reding' ?
