  1. Hello @normada

This is not really a bug as the wagon and engines "thumbnails" images are generated 100% "by hand". Since I don't have the source code of Train Simulator (of course) I can't generate assets thumbnails dynamically like TS can do from 3D model data. Every thumbnail image you see were generated by hand by going to the TS consist editor, capturing the whole screen into an image and this image was edited in photoshop in order to remove the background and such things. This is a very long process as you can imagine, more than 1500 images was done this way and this was hours and hours of repetitive and tedious work 😄

However in the future I would like to add some kind of collaborative database so RWE 2 users can upload there own images (with some tutorial on how properly doing it). With this system RWE 2 players will be able to contribute to add more images and those images will be added into RWE 2 updates regularly.

Hope you understand this limitation 🙂

  4. Il y a 42 minutes , Scip a dit:

    i have now

2022-10 Vorschau auf kumulatives Update für .NET Framework 3.5 und 4.8.1 für Windows 11, version 22H2 für x64 (KB5018341)

but cant hear any azure voices in rw2 ...

This is not the relevant update. The update that contains the fix is the KB5018496.

  5. A new Windows 11 update is available, the KB5018496 update is now available (or will be very soon as it is distributed gradually).

You can now update windows by going in the "windows update" section. This update is fixing the SSL/TLS protocol issues that were preventing RWE 2 azure speech engine for working properly.

More information about this windows update here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/october-25-2022-kb5018496-os-build-22621-755-preview-64040bea-1e02-4b6d-bad1-b036200c2cb3

I assume that the windows 10 update should be out very soon too.

  6. Hello @Scip

This fix is not available yet for Windows 11 2H22 (for a mysterious reason...) but it should be released soon. I have that confirmation from Microsoft.

The fix you are mentioning "We fixed an issue that affects the Microsoft Azure Active Directory" is unrelated and does not affect the speech service used by RW Enhancer 2.

Do not waste some time by trying to uninstall/reinstall RWE 2, it entirely up to Microsoft to fix everything now, you just have to wait (not for a long time now) 🙂

  7. Hello @DecrepitTSfan

There is nothing much required to do 🙂 RW Enhancer 2 is 100% independent from RWE Pro. Here is my personal recommendation for the installation process.

1- Make a back of TS assets directory as recommended.

2- Export the current shaders preset in RWE PRO so you can restore your personal settings in RW Enhancer 2.

    3- Install RW Enhancer 2

4- Import RWE Pro shader preset (exported earlier) in RW Enhancer 2

5- You can now uninstall RW Enhancer PRO if you want to. Not mandatory but with RWE 2 installed, RWE Pro become useless 🙂

If you have any more question feel free to ask !

  8. Hello,

@462 Don't panic ! It will be fixed 🙂 I just learned that the fixes made by Microsoft are not distributed trough automatic windows update (yet). You need to manually download and install the fix for now.

Here is the download page for windows 10: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5020435

Here is the download page for windows 11: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5020387

You need to choose the correct one according to your current windows version. If you need some help please contact me by private message.

Alternatively you can wait for the fix to be included in the next official windows update which should be released in a week or two.

Thanks to Microsoft for their unstable updates since some weeks now... In any case, don't panic, the issue is clearly known by Microsoft and everything will get back to normal very soon 😉

  9. @462, you are right, Microsoft updates are quite badly tested right now hopefully it will improve in the future.

You can update windows in "Parameters": https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-windows-3c5ae7fc-9fb6-9af1-1984-b5e0412c556a#WindowsVersion=Windows_10

If you have not disabled updates, it should update automatically in the next few days 🙂

Be aware that sometimes, the update can take some hours/days to appear (Microsoft are distributing updates gradually).

  10. We just need to wait the next windows patch from Microsoft, this has been confirmed as fixed by MS devteam in the next upcoming windows update. 🙂

Here is the answer to this issue report from Microsoft:

    Citer

Thanks for the report, everyone! There has been some extensive investigation over the past 12-16 hours, and it's been found that this is a result of a Windows 10/11 patch on Tuesday that changed the behavior of TLS in the operating system. Speech SDK is not the only ones impacted and a wide variety of TLS-dependent service use started failing with the latest patches.

This issue is specific to those Windows clients with the latest updates from Tuesday.

The Windows team is working on the root problem, and we expect a fix to be rolled out to Windows fairly quickly (for a Windows update--there's no ETA but we should assume it's still on the order of a week or two).
